Local Girl Missing | Book Review

I'm coming at you with another book review today. I devoured Local Girl Missing by Claire Douglas in the space of a weekend and just had to write up a little post on it! If you've been following my blog and bookish posts for a while you might well know that I love a good thriller or crime story. So naturally when I came across this book in the book shop I had to pick it up. Not only is it a thriller but it's also set in rural England, in the fictional coastal town of Oldcliffe, Somerset - so right up my street of course!

Spa Break in the Bavarian Alps & Trip To Lake Constance

When my friend Sarah and I had booked this little spa break earlier this year with loads of snow outside and the radiators on full blast it felt like it was a lifetime to go until we could finally enjoy a summer's week looking out over the Bavarian Alps. But just like that it turned July and we had packed our bags in the boot of my friends car and headed off down south for some relaxation, a good natter in the car and some scenic hiking routes.

Shakshuka Recipe | Brunch Love

I finally got round to making my own shakshuka for a lovely lazy weekend brunch at mine a couple weeks ago. And it turned out quite well if I do say so myself. I found a easy-to-follow recipe in one of my favourite cook books Ottolenghi's Jerusalem and I kind of adapted it to what I had at the house and what I fancied adding in and thought I'd share the result with you guys today! It's super easy and doesn't require a big grocery shop or anything. But enough, let's get to it.

Kim, the owner of Golden Forest Boutique makes the most gorgeous jewellery using handpicked wildflowers and other natural treasures. Lemon Curd Kisses | Royal Wedding Bakes

Happy Royal Wedding Day guys!!! Today Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting married at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle and I'm gonna be watching the ceremony like many of you will, all excited about THE dress. To celebrate I made some lovely English lemon biscuits featuring one of my faves: lemon curd. They're super easy to make so what are you waiting for? :-)

The Barcelona Diaries | April 2018

So for my birthday this year, I decided I wanted to go somewhere warm, with a beach and a loooooot to see. I didn't have to think too long before coming up with Barcelona which is super easy to reach from my home airport of Nuremberg too! We headed out on Friday 13th of April (like the fearless people that we are haha!) and stayed for 6 nights which is a good amount of time to get the bulk of sightseeing in!

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine | Book Review

I’ve heard so much about this book on social media yet when I finally decided to pick it up I didn’t know a whole lot about it. Not in detail anyway. In fact I was even a bit critical and unsure whether it would be worth the hype. But that was before I started reading. I don’t think it took more than 2 pages at most to get me hooked on this book!

Gucci Bloom | Summer Days in a Bottle

I recently went on a little retail therapy shopping spree in town and decided to treat myself to a new fragrance. I sniffed my way through the store not quite finding anything that really caught my attention until I saw that goooooorgeous blush pink Gucci bottle! I sprayed some of it on my wrist and fell in love immediately! So not only was the bottle right up my street, the scent was exactly what I was looking for!
