Oh my! I haven't done a Life Lately post in months!! No photo diaries, nothing! I know I keep you guys updated with everything that's going on in my life in my 'Monthly Retrospect' posts but I love a good picture heavy photo diary where I just take you along on a trip I took or simply just a day I spent with friends. So high time I did another one of these right? Last weekend we were treated with the nicest weather. It was 30 degrees, the sun was shining, the birds were tweeting and life was just good - except that I had to make a very important decision. Being a rather indecisive person, the struggle was real. In my head I knew what the right thing to do was but was I willing to take the consequences? At times like these, when important choices have to be made, I like to get out into nature and have a good old think about literally EVERYTHING. That way it all comes into perspective and I feel like I can see a lot clearer. The best place for me to do this is Wolfstein, an old castle ruin close to where I grew up. It's quite a hike up there and in the heat me and my friend got a little sweaty I admit, but the view from up there made it all worth it. We had a good old chinwag, looked at the pros and cons and pondered life in general and quarter life crises in particular. Safe to say I made my decision and we spent the rest of the day walking around the ruins, blowing on dandelions and eating ice creams in the sun. I descended back down with a much lighter heart than I went up with.

I haven't published a new post on here in a while as I'm being super busy with loads and loads of uni work, tiring thesis writing and not to forget the never ending think-about-your-future-write-job-applications-and-what-do-you-even-wanna-do-with-your-life worrying.. So when I've taken time off of all this I wanted to stay as far away from a computer screen as humanly possible and just hang out with friends, enjoy the sunshine, go for runs and drink wine in the garden. If you follow me on Instagram you will know this but in case you don't yet, I thought I'll give you a little overview/ catch up in Instagram snaps (it seems however stressful life gets I'll always find time for instagram haha!) because as they say: "A picture is worth a thousand words" ;)

The older I get, the more I realise how much I love the place I grew up in. Back in the days it was all about getting out of that suffocatingly small town and see the world and move away and find a better and cooler place to live in. I guess it's just a teenage thing eh? Anyway nowadays when I take some time to wander around my hometown and take little walks down memory lane, to places where I used to play as a child, places I once loved to spend my afternoons with friends at and things like that it gets clear to me that I truly love my hometown! Yes it's small and no there is not much going on there but it still is so full of amazing memories. I still wouldn't go as far as to say that I could imagine myself living here for the rest of my life, I mean you guys probably all know about my moving-to-London "plans" (is it a plan yet if it's only in your head..?) by now, but I most certainly know that I will always come back here.

Hello you gorgeous lot! It's another photo diary today! I celebrated my 25th birthday on the 14th of April and had such a nice, sun filled and warm week with family and friends. Turning 25 was somewhat scary I'll admit that much.. I mean it's literally a quarter of a century.. where did the time go?! Wasn't it only yesterday that I had an amazing birthday bash for my 20th? Or that BIG party I had when I turned 18? But oh well.. I'm having a good time so what's to complain about really eh?

Hi guys! I hope you all had an amazingly relaxing Easter weekend with family and friends, chocolate and netflix & bed and pyjamas ;-) I loved having this long weekend to take some time out to breathe and sort out life stuff. There's just so much going on right now, massive amounts of dissertation work plus a lot of presentations and stuff for this semester's lectures and adding to that the stress of having to finally figure out what I wanna do with my life once uni is done in the summer (a.k.a. get writing your job applications already Jessica!!) So yeah I guess you could say this long weekend was much needed, I got out into nature as much as I could, had yummy food and took a lot of pictures and everything just got that little bit clearer to me. But I am rambling.. let's just have a look at what I've been up to last weekend instead :)

Last weekend was the first proper spring like one in a long time. The sun was shining bright and warm and there was no way anybody could have wanted to stay inside! I decided to get out into the countryside for some fresh air and to take some photos on my new camera. I drove to an area close by that is known to have been a Celtic settlement back in the day and had a little wander.

As you might know from (all) of my social media I recently went to see Bear's Den play live at Strom Club in Munich. It was AMAZING! I loved their set! It was quite an intimate show, in a small venue with not too many people crammed in and me and my friend got a spot right in front of the stage (absolutely essential if you're a dwarf like me..!) so it couldn't have been more perfect. The support act - Alex Vargas - who I've never heard of before was incredibly good as well and I spend a lot of time listening to his songs now! Bear's Den however totally rocked the stage. They seem like super nice guys and are funny as well! The band played three of their songs acoustic so the whole venue went all quiet and it was absolutely magical! I for one wanted it to last forever.. or at least to have them play at my place the next day.. and the day after.. and so on.. for all eternity.. but oh well, I'm back to listening to the album over and over and over again haha.

Hello you lovely lot! It is autumn and that means harvest festivals and markets will pop up everywhere in Bavaria and I love having a wander around them and seeing all the yummy organic food and looking at all the nice little crafts stalls. It's such a nice way to spend the day with family and friends especially if it's the weekend after a busy week and you just want a relaxed, fun day out in the fresh air!

Lately nothing much interesting has been going on in my life so I spent most of my time at home working on this little blog, doing some studying, some shopping and loads of cooking. But oh well, I think we all have them every once in a while, these underwhelming weeks so I thought why not share a few snippets of the past few days with you guys anyway.

My last week was spent making the most of my holidays and exploring cities and places in my local area that I have never been to or have never seen. I also spent some time relaxing in thermal spas with my mum, going to an indoor pool with my friend and enjoying some Bavarian 'Gemütlichkeit' at my local beer fest. Yes it was a good week! Also I have had two amazing salads last week which I will try and recreate at home, went for a run with my brother and went to Munich yet again for a spot of shopping and a little tour of Nymphenburg castle. Here's a few photos of my trips for those of you who like picture heavy posts:
