Winter Pamper | Blogmas Day 5
Monday, December 05, 2016
I love the cosiness that comes with dark winter days. Staying in, treating yourself to fancy homemade porridge (after a long lazy lie in of course) and a hot cuppa. Starting the day with reading in bed with the lights dimmed and candles lit and just generally taking the stress out of everyday life. I'm trying to have a completely free-of-plans, all-to-myself Sunday ever so often. I find it really important to spend some time simply doing nothing much and recharging my batteries. Only fun things are allowed on these days. Good food, good books, good films, a bubble bath and a cup of steaming mulled wine (optional but highly commended). I love doing the whole at home beauty programme I don't always find the time for during the week like painting my nails properly and curling my hair while wearing face masks and all that jazz.
The best thing about a winter pamper is a nice smelling bubble bath of course! My favourite bubble bath at the moment is Tetesept's 'Verwöhnend'. It's citrussy yet not too overpowering - a subtle luxurious smell that fills the entire bathroom and gives me total relaxation. I'm not one for a quick bath! I like to lie there and soak for as long as possible and tend to listen to podcasts while the warm water warms me up on these cold and grey days. At the moment I love listening to 'My Dad wrote a Porno', it's hilarious, you should totally give it a listen if you haven't already.
After my bath I give my face a good cleanse and apply my mud mask of choice, to really clear them pores! At the moment I'm giving the L'Oreal Absolue clay mask a go and quite like it so far.
Moisturising thoroughly after my bath is vital for me in the winter months, as my skin tends to get really dry and itchy if I don't. At the moment I love using the Dusch Das spray on moisturiser as it's just super quick and easy and smells deliciously of chocolate and coconut - which is my dream combination!
Now there's only one thing left to do: snuggling up in bed with a wheat bag making my feet all nice and toasty and catching up on my favourite TV shows (this is also where the mulled wine enters the scene in case you were wondering). Oh yeah, absolute bliss, more days should be spent like this.
What do you do to relax after a stressful week? Do you have designated pamper days?
Lots of Love,

Loved reading this. I always enjoy a pamper day when things are getting stressful. Nails, bath and face masks are the one!
