Bavarian Forest National Park - A Hike | Photo Diary

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

Hi guys! Today I'm coming at you with a photo diary of my recent trip to the Bavarian Forest National Park. I spent a wonderful day hiking this pretty part of the country with my family breathing loads of fresh air and taking in the beautiful nature and breathtaking views. Seeing that we had temperatures above the 30 degree mark for the last couple of weeks here in Bavaria it was definitely testing our strength.. and I haven't slept as well as the night after this hike in weeks (!) but it was so so worth it to go! We went to a particular part of the National Park where you can visit a wooden boardwalk through the forest 20 metres above ground ending at a massive egg shaped tower structure that takes you all the way up in the skies with amazing views over Germany and even the Czech Republic. On the very top of the tower you are 44 metres above the forest ground which is just super stunning! After that we went on a 7k hike through the Forest where you can see lots of wild animals if you're lucky enough ;-) But I'm rambling on.. see for yourselves:

Just casually chilling on a net 20 metres above ground - the view looking down was AMAZING!

And another.. for reference ;-)

I'm totally wearing my highly appropriate jungle trousers from H&M :)

Where the Hobbits at?

So I hope you liked this little photo diary of my trip. If you wanna go yourself (and I highly recommend you come here to see for yourself!) you can find out more about the hiking trail as well as the boardwalk here: OPEN-AIR ANIMAL GROUND NEUSCHÖNAU and TREETOP WALK NEUSCHÖNAU

Lots of love,
Jess x
