SEASONAL SYNOPSIS: AUTUMN #1 - What I Love About Autumn

Welcome to
the first post in my Seasonal Synopsis series! This one is all about the beauty
of autumn and why it is without a doubt my favourite season!

You can
start shopping the Autumn/Winter collections of your favourite high street
stores and let's be honest there's nothing nicer than A/W clothing
- The
leaves turn red and yellow and orange and everything looks so beautifully
colourful
- You can
go out to the fields and fly a kite (maybe even one you made yourself, like
back in those nursery days..)
- You can
layer clothes which is undoubtedly the coolest and most practical way to dress.
Also so very cosy!
- You can
finally get your wellies back out, even wear them with a nice pair of long knitted socks that you can have peeking out at the top. I love that look!
- You can
also get your big cosy scarves out again! I don't know what it is about wearing
scarves that instantly makes me feel good..
- HALLOWEEN!!
Finding the perfect costume and make-up is almost as much fun as the actual
Halloween party you'll be going to!
- Supermarkets will stock pumpkins again and they're my favourite!
- I love
eating soup but it's not really happening during the summer months so autumn
means having loads and loads of different soups to try.. Oh my just writing
this makes me crave a pumpkin and potato soup so badly!
- Staying
in on a rainy day doing nothing but drinking tea and eating porridge and
reading books all day long!
- Going
out for a walk on a stormy day because the air smells so amazing on days like
that and then come home with reddened cheeks and windswept hair ready to treat
yourself with a nice hot chocolate
- Get your DIY on! What better time to make your own candle holders?
So I think
it's clear from this list that autumn is THE BEST! I intend to do every single
thing I mentioned starting with making soup I think.. Also I can't wait to go
shopping for my A/W wardrobe and wear dark reds and berry toned things again!
