Monthly Goals: June

Sunday, June 01, 2014

I can't quite believe that another month has passed and it's June already. Time flies even if you don't have fun a.k.a. you're studying. So already it's time to look back on last month's goals and share this month's aims with you:

MAY GOALS REVIEW:

1) STUDYING
I definitely worked on this one a lot! So even though I definitely haven't "wrapped my brain around ALL matters finance", I sure as hell got a lot closer to do so. I think this will be a lifetime process rather than a 30 days one.

2) READING
I got back into reading again and yet I failed with my big goal of reading two books in the month of May. I read Gillian Flynn's 'Dark Places' which was so so sooooo good!! I read it within three days, absolutely neglected studying and wanted to read it again as soon as I finished it. If you're looking for a good read and are into thrillers and kinda creepy books this is the one for you! Also I started reading 'Capital' by John Lanchester which I am also enjoying a lot even though it took me quite a while to get into the story. I especially love it because it is set in the area of London that I used to live in and I therefore know many of the places mentioned, it enables me to dream myself back to my London days haha. I am sure I'm gonna finish this one soon too but right now I have just about read 300 pages of it.

3) SPORTS
This one I can finally say I have fully achieved! I got back into a fitness routine, went to the gym for the first time in absolute ages and already I feel a lot healthier and closer to that bikini body :)

4) EAT HEALTHIER
I got back on track with a healthy diet after way too much pizza and chocolates in April but that doesn't mean that I don't have a cheeky ice cream or even a slice of pizza every once in a while ;)

MY JUNE GOALS:

1) I have to stick to my old May goals here, while the semester goes on and exams are coming suffocatingly close. I JUST HAVE TO STUDY! No excuses Jessica, uni won't last forever and while you'll be sweating over your Bachelor thesis by this time next year this at least is the last summer you'll spend inside with books and essays feeling sorry for yourself. There's an end to it! You can do it!

2) Don't bury yourself in work! Do go out and see your friends! Have casual nights out with friends every once in a while without a bad conscience. Or meet up with friends for a cup of ice cream and a little catch up on a sunny day. A little break away from studying won't hurt - quite the opposite actually.

3) Plan a summer holiday! This will be the perfect distraction from studying and something to look forward to when all the stress is over.

These are my goals for this month. I also wanted to let you guys know that the next couple of weeks will be super stressful for me with all the exams and essay deadlines and whatnot so I cannot promise that I'll have my usual two posts up every week. I will however still be blogging so keep your eyes peeled for some posts on here. Please bear with me people, exams will be over one day and I intend on blogging A LOT during my summer holidays, there are so many ideas in my head already!

So, as always I hope you enjoyed reading this. Let me know in the comments below what goals you intend to tackle this month. Are you in a lot of uni related stress as well? What do you do to help cool them nerves? x
