If you follow me on Instagram, you might know that I spent Easter Sunday being a tourist in my own country. I finally visited Neuschwanstein castle! A trip down south to see this beautiful fairytale castle has been on my list for absolute ages. When I lived abroad and told people that I'm from Germany/Bavaria people always asked questions about two things: Neuschwanstein castle and the Oktoberfest, always resulting in me having to tell them that actually I've seen neither. Obviously this had to change! So on Sunday I got in the car for a 3 hours drive to the very south of Bavaria. I have to say I was absolutely inappropriately dressed with only a t-shirt and a denim jacket because it was absolutely freezing down there - quite the contrast to warm and sunny Nuremberg where the journey started.
