Healthy Oat Bites Recipe
Sunday, May 18, 2014Today I wanted to share with you a quick and easy recipe for some delicious oat bites. They're so super easy to make because you can basically add whatever ingredients you like, or swap some ingredients you don't like for similar ones that are more to your taste.
Also they are a more healthy alternative to chocolate when that afternoon sugar craving hits you. As the bites have oats in them they're full of slow release energy so they'll keep you going for a while which is perfect for work out days. Enough said, here's the recipe:
90g oatmeal
50g coconut flakes
50g flax seeds
20g peanut butter (go for the sugar free one if you want to make it extra healthy)
100g honey
Stir all the ingredients together in a big bowl. Once you have a sticky mass, make little oat balls and place them on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Put the tray in the oven for about 20 minutes at 100°C. Leave to cool down and snack on them for the rest of the week :)
As you can see, making these takes no time at all and there aren't any fancy ingredients involved.
Let me know in the comments below if you decide make these or post a photo on Instagram and tag me, I'd love to check out your pictures.
